Don't have a full email time this time, but they told us to email, and I just wanted to let you know that despite the wannabe 2-hour sleep I got this last night on the plane (and the 1 1/2 hr nap when they let us crash on the church pews), I made it alive and well to Quito. It's so cool to see the geography and the volcano and everything, and I can't believe I'm finally here.
Sorry I left my camera in the apartment before we came to President Christensen's house for dinner, so no pictures, but I didn't get a ton anyways so I guess that's okay. He and his wife are so nice, and I can already feel their love, even though we all look pretty rough after a night wearing suits and all.
I'm already so glad to be here, and can't wait to receive a companion soon (I think tomorrow) to start proselyting and stuff.
I'll make sure to tell you all about it when we finally have our first Pday (Presidente's doing interviews as I type this, so he hasn't yet told us when, but I've heard rumors of Monday...).
Anyways, love you all, and have a great week!
Love,
Elder Stolle
P.S. Thanks again mom for the package...I didn't eat too much of it cause sugar didn't sound good that early in the morning, but during our layover in Bogota we met latino missionaries going to Venezuela, and they'd never seen or tried some of the candies before, so they were thrilled and very grateful to try some.
