Week 6 Last Day At The CCM (Missionary Training Center) August 1st, 2016

¡Hola Familia y amigos! Surprise again! They gave us a half P-day to prepare/pack for the flights tonight/early tomorrow, so you get one more email from the CCM. I don´t know when Quito´s P-day is, so that´s TBD.

There´s been a lot packed into these last 5 days; a teacher taught us the Spanish Lyrics for "Where are you Christmas?" which was pretty funny especially since one of the Hermanas (Sister Missionaries) looks like Cindy-Lou-Who when she puts up her hair.

Also it was sick cause one of our teachers brought us CHURROS! You could smell them being baked almost daily, so it was really nice for him to treat us to what we´d been craving.

Yesterday (Sunday) was a really good day. Sundays always are. We had our usual Sunday Meetings routine, and did a musical number we´d been working on as a District. It was me and another Elder playing a duet on the piano we made up to accompany while everyone else sang an arrangement of "Abide With Me Tis Eventide" and "Lord, I Would Follow Thee." It went pretty well.

In the afternoon us Elders took turns giving blessings of comfort to the people in our District who requested them. Our arms got tired after so many blessings, but it was really cool to help people feel less anxious about traveling and the Mission. That´s honestly one of the coolest things about the CCM; there´s Priesthood power everywhere whenever it´s needed.

Last night after our regular Sunday movie (we watched the Restoration last night) we had a testimony meeting with all 90 or so of us leaving. Afterwards we had a District prayer before saying our farewells. It´s kinda weird cause we already had two Elders leave for flights during the night, but luckily most of us are going to Ecuador, and 5 of us are going to be in the same mission. So the goodbyes aren´t too hard.

But I´m not really nervous for the flight or anything; just kinda calm and excited, cause I know that´s where Heavenly Father wants me to be.

Have a great week! Next email should be coming from Quito!

Love,
Elder Stolle

P.S. We took a lotta pictures this week, so I included some of the District, Branch Presidency, and Teachers below.
